Terence Conran's France
Editorial : From Library Journal British designer Conran's latest book returns to the source of much of his inspiration, France. Conran looks back at France's glorious past, as the basis of today's greatness. Supplemented by 375 gorgeous color photographs, the well-written text explores French excellence in food, design, architecture, city planning, gardens, fashion, and the home. All is infused with a loving appreciation for the ability to turn everyday activities into artistic and stylistic triumphs. Conran's treatment of French rural and small-town life and daily routine celebrates design in the service of life. Highly recommended. I found it helpful in my becoming educated about things to look for and avoid when building or contracting either system. Great read!!. The book reflects his respect and love for his subject matter. It is not really a text book in the traditional sense but rather more of a lab book. The level of expertise and effort used to write the Haynes manual is just plain mediocore compared to the manuals I had to compose.
All that being spewed out, You can not find anything else useful for the price Amazon charges for the Haynes manual. In fact, there is a lot of both. This children's book incorporates rhyme and crayon like watercolor drawings to inspire love of the classic sport. Admittedly biased, I think that reading them in publication order would make for the most enjoyment. I am more alert in the mornings and my acid reflex is gone. I love that the Jackdaw was the first joke. She puts herself at risk for others in need, even if they are the enemy. You don't actually make a clock
