1st : page 6, line 4 v_k should be v_i
2nd : page 12, problem 7. The font is clear, the line spacing on the pages perfect, so buy this, borrow it, or whatever- just get ahold of a copy and enjoy Wendell at his best.. nice. I certainly did!. This book is certainly worth getting if you want to play ABBA's songs. There is a dry humor that surfaces in many of the profiles that makes reading random bios enjoyable- totally unrelated to any research project.
From this the reader learns that the game may have been different in many ways in the 19th century- rules were changing and matters in 'organized baseball' were a lot less organized- but those who played it were subject to issues off the diamond and other human failings that are around the game 100 years later. And there's a bit too much of the reportage I mentioned, where the reader is told what is happening (or what happened off stage) rather than
