I’d no sooner finished CARLA, my first book for Midwood Tower, than Harry Shorten asked for another. I’d just returned to Antioch College, where after two years as an undistinguished student I’d dropped out for a year to hang on to a summer job at Scott Meredith’s literary agency and bucket shop. It was wonderful training, but after a year there I decided I should go back to school, where I had a chance to assume the editorship of the school newspaper. So there I was in Yellow Springs, Ohio, taking a batch of English courses, and I had a publisher who wanted me to write a book. What’ll it be, Larry—a paper on Tobias Smollett and the Great Chain of Being, or 50,000 words of soul-searching and sex for Harry Shorten? 50,000 words for which I’d be paid $600? No contest, really. Editorial : About the Author Lawrence Block has been writing award-winning mystery and suspense fiction for half a century. His newest book, pitched by his Hollywood agent as “James M. Cain on Viagra,” is The Girl with the Deep Blue Eyes. His other recent novels include The Burglar Who Counted The Spoons, featuring Bernie Rhodenbarr; Hit Me, featuring philatelist and assassin Keller; and A Drop Of The Hard Stuff, featuring Matthew Scudder, brilliantly embodied by Liam Neeson in the new film, A Walk Among The Tombstones. Several of his other books have also been filmed, although not terribly well. He's well known for his books for writers, including the classic Telling Lies For Fun & Profit and Write For Your Life, and has recently published a collection of his writings about the mystery genre and its practitioners, The Crime Of Our Lives. In addition to prose works, he has written episodic television (Tilt!) and the Wong Kar-wai film, My Blueberry Nights. He is a modest and humble fell

I have been using Chilton manuals for almost 30 years, and have always been surprised how much information is not included.

For example, I could find no explanation of how to drain the coolant (drain plug on bottom left rear of radiator (as you face the car)).

No real trouble shooting advice (like how to fix the infamous Ion ignition/key problem).

Also, It would have been helpful if they included some of the vast information out there about the dangers of adding non-Dexcool coolant to the system.

But you will get the basics with this book. To my opinion it only provides beginners information. . CATIA's menu structure is very convoluted. I've already rebuilt a few engines, so that wasn't all that helpful and I pretty much just went at it without the guide. Marie Arana's authorial voice has an authentic, radiant and haunting passion for Peru. The book is a great reading. I am restoring a '72 Bonneville and had already bought a few books, includ
