This book cleared it up for me.. My impression and biggest criticism of the book was that most of the exercises seemed too detailed and too time-consuming but if you don't do them you won't feel you have really learned the material and all you will have gained is a general idea of the power of the features under discussion. Carter.
With its hefty selection of works to see and be inspired from, With clear sections and a selectiveness uncharacteristical of carter, this book can be used over and over again, and you can always find something new in it.
It is also of great value. Corporate stonewalling doesn't have too much future.

End result: a serious book that gathers the Zeitgeist (and will bring many people up to speed with trends and idioms). It's packed with strange and obvious typos and weird formatting inconsistencies (like every page or two). This book was recommended to me. I just wanted to let you guys know that there is a lot of cooking involved with this p
